Information we collect
We collect account and contact details, booking and ticket records, support messages and information needed to operate the service. Organiser applications may also include identity, business and supporting documents for verification. Payment processing may involve a payment provider; we do not need your full card details in your Sleepless profile.
How we use it
We use information to manage accounts and bookings, issue tickets, show event updates, review organisers and listings, prevent abuse, respond to requests and meet legal obligations. Marketing messages, if offered, are separate from essential booking communications.
Who receives it
We share only the information needed by the organiser to operate your event, by providers supporting payments and essential communications, or by authorities when law requires it. Organiser verification documents are not displayed on public event pages.
Your choices and rights
Under South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you may request access to or correction of your personal information and, where applicable, ask for deletion, object to processing or withdraw consent. Certain booking and financial records may need to be retained by law. You may also raise a concern with the Information Regulator.
Retention and protection
We keep information only as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected and any legal or dispute-resolution obligations. Access is limited according to account roles and security controls are used to protect stored records. No online service can promise absolute security.
